In order to deter persons from obtaining cash from my bankcard, I have implemented a very long Personal Identification Number. This number is 8 digits long!
This, of course, does not deter a person from obtaining goods or services less than $100.
This, in itself, is a concern, but I digress…
How did I do this?
You will note that the typical PINpad has numbers 1-9 and 0. Looking more closely, you will notice that there are letters on the same button.
Knowing this, you can “type out” the name of your dog, your parrots name or even (god forbid) a swear word!
Put it this way, you are not going to forget this swear word in a hurry!
I’ll give you a tip: It begins with an
‘F’.
